Another vintage & retro fashion e-store I love to peruse for vintage style inspiration is Blue Velvet Vintage, where they have “Classic fashions for classy dames”. They stock true vintage one-of-a-kind dresses and their own line of retro reproduction fashion. Here’s a true vintage tea length party dress with that classic 1950s shelf bust.
And here’s a pretty floral 1950s dress with a row of beaded cutouts along the neckline. It looks like something Kim Novak would wear in that classic 1955 film “Picnic” with William Holden.
This lovely tea length Wedding Dress in white and silver tulle is lined with taffeta for that swishy sound when the bride walks down the isle.
Then they have their own house brand of retro dresses called “Classic Dame”. This is their “Coquette” style full circle skirt halter dress. The sweetheart bodice has that iconic 50s fold-over contrast detail.
And their “Starlet” halter swing dress in a navy with white polka dots looks like a great dress to go swing dancing in, especially with that red petticoat.
