I don’t have much call for suits in my wardrobe and lifestyle, but I love this Advance Pattern of a WWII era suit. The scalloped hem of the jacket and the scalloped button closure detail on view 1 looks lovely. I haven’t tried sewing scallops yet. I’m afraid mine would come out all wobbly. In my searches for vintage patterns for sale, I have noticed that it’s not often that vintage patterns with a bust size over 34 inches (or over 30 inches for that matter) come up on the market. If I were a bust 38, this pattern would be mine, pronto! But I find it far easier to start with a smaller size and scale up rather than trying to scale down from a too large size.
